I've been Tagged...

I've been tagged by my mom, at A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words to name 6 unspectacular things about myself. I'm sure I could think of 6 very easily, but whether I want to list them on this blog is another story. So here goes....

1.) I love to sleep...On the weekends, I catch
up on my sleep. My husband says that
I'm going to sleep my life away...but I love
it!!!

2.) My feet stay cold 24/7. Sometimes I think
I have that Raynaud's Disease that affects
circulation... but I doubt it. I just have cold
feet, year round, even in the hottest part of
the summer.

3.) Bad weather doesn't scare me. I'll probably
eat my words with Hurricane Gustav
headed this way...

4.) I do not like Will Ferrell. I think everyone
else on this planet thinks he's hilarious
and I just don't. He's disgusting.

5.) My husband says I snore lightly in my sleep
but, whatever, I'll believe it when he records
it and plays it back to me.

6.) I have a huge gag relflex. When I was pregnant
with Connor, my oldest, I ate some spinach
dip at work, and put too much of it in my
mouth. I gagged on it, and almost lost it, and
haven't been able to eat it since.

Simple Summer Centerpiece

I had a Southern Living at Home party last Saturday night at my house. I don't know if any of you are familiar with Southern Living at Home products. They have some beautiful pieces. I was having trouble coming up with a centerpiece for my table. I have these two tall cone shaped clear cylinders, that used to be a set of three. One of them has been broken. I usually decorate them in the fall, and at Christmas, but was having trouble coming up with something bright and cheerful. I decided to just get some lemons and limes from the grocery store, and this is the end product. The picture of it didn't really do it justice, but at night with the candles lit, it was really pretty, and very simple!

Can you see the resemblance?

Connor, above at age 7 months
Cooper, age 7 months
Hey ya'll
Just wondering if anyone can see the resemblance
between my boys. These pics were taken
in the same location, and of course the same outfit,
and around the same age.
I think Connor looks more like Chad, my husband,
and Cooper definitely looks like me, especially my baby pictures!
What do you think?

Thoughts on new digital camera?

Hey Ya'll

I know some of you that check my blog every now and then have been wondering why I haven't posted in a while. Well, this past week, I've managed to misplace, well, I've lost my digital camera. I've had a Sony Cybershot camera for about 5 years. It's been a good camera, but it's fairly small and hard to keep up with. I've backtracked, and looked everywhere for my camera. I'm getting quite frustrated with myself, because I haven't been able to post for a while. So my question to ya'll is...which digital camera works best for you? I'm in the market for a new one, I've looked at a couple of brands, but I won't name them. Which ones have worked well for you in the past? I don't want to spend more than about $400-$500 on one. I'm really looking for a mid-range one. Any thoughts? Thanks for any input you may have.....

Help Please!! Need New Template

Hey Ya'll

Just wondering if any of you could give me some advice on how to change my template. I did a google search, and found a couple that I like, but couldn't figure out what to do past that. I'm fairly new to blogging, and not too sure how to go about changing things around on my blog. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated. Something simple would be great!! Thanks!

Connor's First Day of Kindergarten

Connor all ready for bed the night before school...
Can't live without brown bear...
He knows he's cute....
Posing GQ style in front of his classroom...
Sitting down to color as we were leaving him...
I know several of you moms out there know what I have been feeling with my baby starting school. It's such a bittersweet time, when you want them to be your baby forever, but you know that they have to grow up too, because that's part of life. I actually did not shed any tears after leaving him in his classroom. My tears were shed after kissing him good night the night before. He was so happy and excited to be going to "big school". I am happy for him, but it seems like just yesterday that I was holding him in my arms after he came into my life, and changing it forever. I love him so much, I hope he knows. His teacher said this morning, "look how many people here love you", and I thought it was so sweet. I know she will love him as she gets to know him better throughout the coming school year...His personality is just one of his many traits that people love about him. When I picked him up from school, he was visibly tired. I ask him how his day was, he nodded and said fine, (all while sucking his thumb, and holding brown bear), I ask him what he ate for lunch, and I can't remember what I ask him next, but he said to me, "Mama I don't feel like talking about it right now, i'll talk to you about it in the morning". I laughed and simply said ok. Well, later on this evening, I tried to talk to him again about it. I ask him to tell me one thing about his day. He looked at me, and said "we colored". I said, well, I know that Connor, you were coloring when I left you today". He said, "mama, you said to tell you one thing, and I did". I just left it at that. LOL. He is hilarious!! Hope you all can relate to this post. Have a great day! Kelli

Hi Ya'll!

Sorry it's taken me so long to post something. Having 2 small children around, and working full time, there's not much time left in the day for myself. This past Sunday, we had a chance to visit my husband's cousins from Atlanta, Georgia, and Gray Tenessee. His family used to try to get all of the kids together every July for what they call "Raley Camp", where the kids spend the whole week together at Aunt Barbara's house, and play outside, swim, do crafty things, and most of all ride the golf cart around. I took some pics of the kids to share with ya'll. My husband couldn't be there, because we had some bad weather pass through on Saturday night, and he had to go to work, and ended up working for about 18 hours straight. See ya'll next time!
