Connor's First School Pic

This is Connor's first School Picture. Doesn't he look happy? It seemed only a few weeks ago that I was so worried about all the adjustments he's been having to go through, new school, new rules, new teacher, homework...Overall I think we've settled into a routine. Homework every night Monday-Thursday, which can be very frustrating at times. Connor does not like to write letters, numbers, he does not like to color. I don't know if it's a little boy thing, or if it's just a Kindergarten thing. We are so happy when Thursdays arrive at our house, because we're free for the next four nights.
Hope ya'll enjoy your weekend! Take Care!

Jonathan and Connor at our "Hurricane Gustav" Party

Today is my baby brother's 27th birthday. I know my mom did a post on this as well. I chose some different pics to post. He is in graduate school a few hours away, and don't get to talk or see each other as often as we used to. I would like to wish Jonathan a very Happy Birthday today!! Hope you have a great day!!

We love you, Chad, Kelli, Connor & Cooper

Dove Huntin with Daddy & Uncle Ryan

This is Connor's first dove hunt of the season. The opening of dove season is usually Labor Day or Labor Day weekend. Connor had a big time with his Daddy (left), and his Uncle Ryan (right). They shot over 150 birds . They usually cook them on the grill wrapped with bacon, and seasoned with Dales steak sauce. Yuck! I think I'll pass. Connor was so proud to be huntin with the big boys.

New Shelf in Laundry Room

Hi Everyone,
If there are any of you out there that check my blog
on a regular basis, you know that I don't post that
often. I have a certain dilemma, and I've already
posted about it, I lost, yes lost, my Sony digital
camera. So, I'm digging deep from some older projects. I bought
this brown shelf at TJ Maxx for $7.oo. I was about to walk out
the door, giving up that I had not found anything that day,
(and usually I always find something at tj maxx), and I just so
happened to lean over to look at something on the bottom shelf of
the clearance aisle, and low and behold, I found this shelf. Of
course, I decided to paint it black, and put it in my laundry room. I sanded
the edges to give it more of that "rustic" look that I love. My mom found
the Mississippi trinket at a yard sale, and I found the Home sign at Cato's
clothing store on clearance for $7.oo. The other stuff I already had. It's kind of
thrown together, but nevertheless, it turned out cute, considering how
cheap it cost to do this project. I hope to have some newer posts soon. I'm
working on my husband to let me buy the $500 digital camera that I have
picked out, but we'll see! Have a great day!!
