This is Connor's first dove hunt of the season. The opening of dove season is usually Labor Day or Labor Day weekend. Connor had a big time with his Daddy (left), and his Uncle Ryan (right). They shot over 150 birds . They usually cook them on the grill wrapped with bacon, and seasoned with Dales steak sauce. Yuck! I think I'll pass. Connor was so proud to be huntin with the big boys.

Well I took these pics of some pots I have on my front porch. I got the pots from Sam's Club, and they are sort of bronzed, but you can hardly see them, for all of the cascading flowers. This is a twist on a recipe that my mom has always made. We call them chicken roll-ups. It's basically chicken, mixed with cream of celery soup, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, a little milk, all mixed up, rolled into pillsbury crescent rolls, and baked in the oven for about 30 min. Gardening is one of my favorite hobbies. Container gardening is about the only thing I have time for. This a pot I just put together with stuff I found at our local co-op. I've managed to keep it watered, and it's prospered pretty well. I have one of each on each side of my garage. They get plenty of sun out there.
