Trash to Treasure Tuesday

Trash to Treasure Tuesday is hosted by Diane at A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words
My Trash to Treasure items are some very old ledger books. These books date back to the late 1800's to early 1900's. My brother found them in an old building downtown, and thought they might look good in my house. He was right. How long do you think these ledger books sat there collecting dust? They are huge, and extremely heavy. It's hard to believe they had to hand write every single transaction that took place. They are beautiful, and I will treasure them forever.

Oh, how I love books! And leather ones! And antique ones! These are definitely a treasure. Just look at the hand-tooled leather. Thank you for sharing. These are beauties.

I loved visiting your blog and hope you'll come over and visit my nest, too. :-)

I LOVE those! Especially since I used to work at a bank...where we had to manually enter in all of the Land Contract payments that our clients held with our bank...what a pain that was, lol...and this was in the 1980's, so not that long ago.

What a great treasure!!!

Thanks so much for all of the lovely comments you have made on my blog :) :)

I love the sculptural bindings, they're beautiful. I plan to join the group starting next Tuesday.

Please stop by my blog and pick up a free copy of my new cookbook, "Finish The Feast: Leftover Turkey They'll Love To Eat!" It's filled with yummy recipes and is suitable for printing and giving as a gift.
