i heart faces winners ....

This is the photo that won the i heart faces contest this week. The theme this week was J-O-Y

I've been anxiously awaiting all week for the winners of the i heart faces photograph blog contest. Of course I entered Cooper's picture this week. He didn't win, but I would like to share with you the photograph that won, and some of their top picks. I love this blog, it's the coolest , especially if you're even remotely into taking pictures, and trying to capture that special moment.

See above for pictures, I have yet to figure out how to post pictures as I go. Some of their favorites follow....they did a top ten, and I picked out of those a couple of my favorites!! Enjoy!

Fireproof: A Must See Movie

On Friday night , a local non-denominational church offered a free showing of the movie Fireproof. It stars Kirk Cameron, who starred in "Growing Pains" back in the 1980's. He is also known for the movies made from the "Left Behind" series of books.

I would recommend this movie to all married couples. It is a tear-jerker, however, the tears are well worth it. My husband even loved it too. It tells a great story of a married couple in crisis, and how they work things out with their faith in Christ, and each other.

I'm so glad that we went to see the movie, even though I was tired and really didn't feel like going. It's also kid-friendly. We took Connor with us to see it, and he really enjoyed it too.

I think the movie should be out on DVD by now. It hasn't been that long since it was released in theaters. Just a recommendation for a good movie to watch over the weekend!!

Have a great day....

I love faces entry...

I found this new blog website from Katie at Blessed By 3 Miracles. It's such a cute thing to do if you have kids or grand kids, even nieces or nephews.

The name of it is, i heart faces. They choose a weekly winner for kids, and they have an adult category too. Every week there's a new theme. This week , the theme is JOY. I picked this picture of Cooper for this week. We took this picture of him at Disney World. I think it fits JOY, don't you? Please visit their website at: http://iheartfaces.blogspot.com/.
Thanks for visiting!!

What's for supper tonight? Do you get tired of hearing this...here's an easy fix...

Sometimes my husband doesn't have to say a single word to me, and I already know what he's thinking. What's for supper? Well, sometimes I feel like cooking more than others. It hits me in spurts. I'm sure some of you can agree with me on that one, especially if you work full time/have kids/have a house to keep up.

Last week, I was really feeling burnt out on what to cook. Since we were running a little low on groceries, I decided what I wanted to fix. It's something my husband and 6-year old son love. So, I went to the pantry, and , well, I didn't have all the ingredients I needed. So, I had to come up with plan B. I had some cube steaks defrosted. The week before I bought some Jimmy Dean Sausage Gravy mix (the ones in the packets). So, I fried up the cube steaks in my beautiful black iron skillet, popped some of those Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits in the oven, and whipped up the sausage gravy(2 packets). I have to say, it was absolutely delicious!! It doesn't sound like much, but it's very filling!!

My husband and son were in the woods deer hunting, and I was expecting them home any minute. An hour after the supper was finished, they arrived home. I couldn't wait on them, so I went ahead and ate by myself:( They had to heat it up, but they both enjoyed it too. So, this week I made it again! I think it's going to be my new favorite thing to cook!! I took pictures this week so ya'll could see what it looked like...LOL. Try it and enjoy!!

Have a good week!!
